A Brilliant Foundation for Life - A Portrait of Wells Cathedral School

A Brilliant Foundation for Life is an exciting addition to the celebrations planned for our 1,100th anniversary in 2009.  

A beautifully illustrated hardback volume, the book tells the story of the school and its journey, focusing on the route mapped out by Preb.A.F. Ritchie, Frank Commings, Alan Quilter, John Baxter and Elizabeth Cairncross. Presented in a vivid, entertaining style, A Brilliant Foundation for Life features specially commissioned full-colour photography and rare archive images, and includes first-hand accounts, observations and experiences from generations past and present, including current pupils.

Pre-ordered copies may be collected from the Development Office in Cedars House between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.  If you have requested to collect your book from school, but would like to have it posted, please call the Development Office to make the necessary arrangements.  There will be a charge for postage and packing.

New books may also be ordered from the Development Office and a copy is available to view in Cedars House.  The Development Office can be reached on 01749 834254 or by emailing foundation@wells-cathedral-school.com.  Each copy costs £45 and the book can be posted anywhere in the UK for a £5 charge.
